Integrity Engineer

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an entry-level Integrity Engineer to join our team!
This is an entry level engineer who will work under close supervision and will receive training in various phases of engineering work including procedures, specifications, industry terms, standards, and work practices. This engineer will be responsible for pipeline related design, construction management, and integrity management projects from inception through to delivery. Projects will be multi-disciplined covering civil, mechanical, and electrical work. This engineer will be responsible for the successful delivery of each project through management of internal staff, external contractors, financial control, and strong management of change.
Responsibilities:
- May involve estimating, contracting, design, construction management, integrity management, or commissioning functions for projects involving pipelines and related facilities.
- Provide field support on cathodic protection, in-line inspection, direct assessment, and pressure testing projects.
- Provide technical assistance to Engineering and Operations Departments to resolve operating problems or to establish best operating practices.
- Complete projects using engineering principles and techniques.
- Produce details of specifications and outline designs.
- Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Organize and reduce data gathered, prepare charts and tables.
- Assemble data for preparation of final client report including service recommendations.
- Assist with the preparation of design reports and final project reports
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in an engineering field.
- EIT Preferred.
- Ability to travel to client job sites.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Oil and gas industry experience a plus.
- Travel up to 40%.
Physical Requirements and Demands:
- The job requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation. Routinely use standard office equipment such as but not limited to: computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear.
- Frequently standing or sitting for long periods
- Occasional lifting in up to 50lbs
- Exposure to weather including hot and cold climates
- Ability to work long hours and possible overtime when projects demand.
Lake Superior Consulting provides competitive compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, years of experience, and specific office/market location. The range of starting pay for this role is $70,000-$77,000 per year.
