Integrity Management Specialist

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an Integrity Management Specialist I.
Responsible for pipeline integrity management projects from inception through to delivery. Projects will be multi-disciplined covering mechanical, electrical and electrochemical works, with a strong focus on regulatory and compliance driven initiatives. Responsible for the successful delivery of each project through collaboration and management of internal staff and/or external contractors, while placing an emphasis on financial control and meeting client-driven deadlines. Receives training in the various phases of Integrity Management work. Learns procedures, specifications, industry terms, standards and work practices. Works with more independence than an Integrity Management Associate.
Responsibilities:
- Involves contracting, integrity management, or commissioning functions for projects involving pipelines and related facilities.
- Provide field support on cathodic protection and direct assessment projects.
- May assist clients with in interpreting 49 CFR Part 192 and 195 and other industry specifications.
- Look for opportunities to provide technical assistance to Engineering and Operations Departments to resolve operating problems or to establish best operating practices.
- Read and interpret alignment sheets, technical drawings, schematics, and perform CAD support.
- Confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.
- Ability to work well within a team environment, positive attitude, multi-task, and self-motivated to produce high quality work.
- Work towards becoming a subject matter expert.
- Use technical and organizational knowledge to look for ways to add additional value to LSC.
- Support project scoping and estimating.
- Organize and reduce data gathered, prepare charts, tables, and other deliverables.
- Assemble data for preparation of final client report including service recommendations.
- Prepares final project reports, service recommendations, and subsequent reviews with client.
Position Requirements:
- Associates degree in math or science preferred, or equivalent experience.
- Experience performing CP field surveys.
- AMPP Cathodic Protection (CP) Certification Tester (CP1) Required.
- Ability to travel to client job sites.
- Strong analytical and communication skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
- Oil and gas industry experience a plus.
- Travel up to 50%.
Physical Requirements and Demands:
- The job requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation. Routinely use standard office equipment such as but not limited to: computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear.
- Frequent periods of standing for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting in up to 50lbs.
- Exposure to weather including heat and cold climates.
- Ability to work long hours and overtime when projects demand.
As required by multiple state pay transparency laws, Lake Superior Consulting provides a reasonable range of compensation for each job posting. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, years of experience, and specific office/market location. The range of starting pay for this role is $70,000-$85,000.
