Project Coordinator

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Project Coordinator to join our growing team!
The Project Coordinator’s primary role is to support the monitoring and controlling phase for mid to large size projects. Their work includes ensuring correct and current information is used in reporting on cost, schedule and scope execution. In addition, ensuring this information is available to project personnel, Project Managers and clients so that timely and effective decisions can be made if/when project risks begin to materialize. Project Coordinators may also manage smaller projects from inception through close out with support of Project Management Supervisor.
Responsibilities:
- Support proposal generation process.
- Document initial project schedule and staffing plan for each project.
- Keep project schedule and staffing plan current throughout each project.
- Work with Equipment/Procurement team to secure vehicles and equipment needed for projects.
- Ability to manage smaller projects from inception through close out, including proposal development, baseline schedule and budget, identifying project requirements (operator qualifications, equipment, reporting), status updates, invoicing, management of deliverable timelines and completion, and close out.
- Setup cost tracking tools.
- Assist with project kick off in the field where needed.
- Coordinate with LSC Accounting and Project Manager to obtain cost information for project cost tracking tools. Keep cost tracking tools current throughout each project.
- Track cost and schedule information to utilize in project status reports.
- Maintain consistency in project reporting across all service areas.
- Maintain project cost/schedule reporting using Earned Value Management.
- Assist with project close out and lessons learned.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in related field.
- General interest in Project Management.

Basic understanding of integrity management or pipeline work scopes and field project work experience is beneficial but not required.
- Proficiency with MS Office, MS Word, MS Project, and MS Excel.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Attention to detail.
- Ability to travel (travel will be minimal).

Lake Superior Consulting provides competitive compensation. Actual compensation is influenced by an array of factors including, but not limited to, skill set, years of experience, and specific office/market location. The range of starting pay for this role is $60,200 - $69,000 per year.
