Integrity Engineering Intern

Lake Superior Consulting is seeking an Integrity Engineering Intern to join our team in Duluth, MN for the Summer of 2026.

The successful candidate will assist with projects in our growing Integrity Management group in our Duluth, MN office. This will include pipeline related design, construction management and integrity management projects from inception through delivery. This person will receive training in the various phases of engineering work. Learn procedures, specifications, industry terms, standards and work practices, and work under close supervision. 

Responsibilities: 

• Assist with providing support in: estimating, contracting, design, construction management, integrity management, or commissioning functions for projects involving pipelines and related facilities
• Complete information interviews with LSC personnel to gain a better understanding of the industry and LSC’s contributions towards it
• Provide field assistance to Lead field personnel and engineers on cathodic protection, in-line inspection, direct assessment, and pressure testing projects
• Provide technical assistance to Engineering and Operations Departments to help resolve operating problems or to help establish best practices
• Support the completion of projects using engineering principles and techniques
• Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and perform CAD support
• Produce details of specifications and outline designs
• Assist with the preparation of design reports and final project reports

Requirements: 

• Current sophomore or junior Engineering student
• Proficient in MSOffice Suite
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to learn quickly and develop professionally
• Ability to multitask, managing multiple assignments
• Ability to travel, up to 25%
• Knowledge of Energy Industry a plus

Lake Superior Consulting offers a competitive compensation package. The actual starting salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including your skills, experience, and office/market location. The anticipated range for this position is $22 – $26 per hour.
