Lake Superior Consulting is seeking a Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team.
The Talent Acquisition Specialist will be responsible for the full recruitment cycle including pre-employment and onboarding for roles within our Utility Locate area of the business. This individual will collaborate closely with hiring managers, supervisors, and the HR team to deliver an exceptional candidate and new hire experience from start to finish.
Responsibilities:
Recruitment & Selection:
- Manage the full-cycle recruitment process for the Utility Locate group, including job postings, sourcing, screening, interviewing, and coordinating offers.
- Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, job requirements, and desired candidate profiles.
- Conduct phone screens, schedule and coordinate in-person/virtual interviews, participate in interviews as assigned, and provide a positive candidate experience throughout the recruitment process
- Represent LSC at job fairs, career events, and community outreach activities.
- Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, develop job postings, and create targeted recruiting strategies.
- Maintain active communication with candidates and hiring teams to ensure alignment and timely follow-up.
- Recommend creative advertising venues and strategies to attract top talent to the organization.
- Prepare and extend offers.
Onboarding & Orientation:
- Coordinate pre-employment and onboarding processes to ensure a seamless new hire experience.
- Facilitate new employee orientation and ensure all onboarding steps are completed accurately and efficiently.
Position Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred; equivalent experience considered.
- 1 plus years of recruiting or HR experience
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization.
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS) preferred.
- Ability to work with highly sensitive and confidential information
Physical Requirements and Demands:
- The job requires the ability to sit for extended periods at a computer workstation. Routinely use standard office equipment such as but not limited to: computers, phones, copiers, and filing cabinets. The employee is frequently required to stand, talk, and hear.

Lake Superior Consulting offers a competitive compensation package. The actual starting salary will be determined based on a variety of factors, including your skills, experience, and office/market location. The anticipated range for this position is $60,000 – $75,000 per year.
